Programs » Oklahoma Youth Wind Symphony
The Oklahoma Youth Wind Symphony (OYWS) is comprised of the Youth Symphony
wind,
brass and percussion players; additional wind, brass and percussion players and
high
school students who play instruments not usually integral to a symphony orchestra
(e.g.
saxophone, contra/bass clarinet.). It is
generally for students in grades 9 through 12.
Auditions
are scheduled several times a year.

The season general consists of five (5) concerts and special performance opportunities
as
they arise.
Conductor
Dr. Paul David Goza, conductor of the Oklahoma Youth Wind Symphony, holds a Master of Music degrees in oboe performance and composition from the University of Memphis and the University of Arkansas respectively, and the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in instrumental conducting from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. |
